In accordance with "Geneva-2006" Frequency Plan the territory of Ukraine was divided into 81 digital zones of synchronous broadcasting. For building a pilot network of synchronous broadcasting there were chosen on recommendations of Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies and Ukrainian Scientific Research Institute of Radio and Television the digital zones no 17 and no 18, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions respectively. In summer 2007 the procedures for procurement in accordance with legislation of Ukraine were carried out by BRT Concern, and research and production enterprise, KVANT-EFIR was defined as the one, jointly with whom we had realized the project.
